Just Another Day :)
Well we have had a crazy couple of weeks. Andy had his scans and it showed all but one spot gone. He will continue taking the medicine for a few more weeks, plus some and he will be having a CAT scan at the end of the month. That is the good news. So after a long week of Dr.'s appointments and traveling back and forth to the medical center I came home to get our family packed for our annual ward camp out, which I was partially in charge of. When I went to pack the kids toothbrushes I saw that we had water all over the bathroom floor. Our pipe connecting the water to the sink had burst. I immediately yelled for Jared to give me every towel we had from the closet and began moping up all of the water. I didn't think much of it. It just added more stress to me. I can take more of that right? So I used all of the clean towels and some of the dirty ones too. The water had definitely gotten under some of the ceramic tile so I decided to check under the transition strip from the tile to the laminate flooring in the hall. Wouldn't you know it, the water had spilled out into the hall underneath the laminate floor. So my bathroom had flooded and now my hallway would have to be torn up and come to find out the carpet in the hall closet and the boys closet and half of their bedroom was soaked too. That is when I lost it!

I don't know if you have ever seen a stressed woman cry but I am sure it was a site to see. Once I got control of myself Andy got home from work and tore up the hall laminate and I hopped on the phone with our insurance company. What a learning experience. We ended up having a water restoration company come in and put 4 big fans and a dehumidifier in the house all weekend to dry everything out. Talk about noisy!!! On Tuesday the inspector came and told me what they would replace and what was our out of pocket responsibility. We are getting new carpet, new laminate, a new vanity and paint. Here is the new floor Andy and I put in yesterday. We will update everyone with future remodeling installments.

So there is really no need to ask how your day was! What an awful day! Love you!
Ouch! I'm glad that everything is being taken care of. (I think that we have the same tile as you do! Odd, huh?) -VAL
