Andy's Good News!!!
The last year has been up and down with Andy's Health. He has had a virus that causes his lymph nodes to swell. The doctors have removed three lymph nodes and each has shown no cancer but the CMV virus. Although it is common, Andy's immune system could not fight it off as of yet. In September the scans showed two more swollen lymph nodes and the doctors agreed to just watch the nodes and re-scan in October. October scans showed 17 swollen lymph nodes in his neck and upper chest cavity. They put him on Valcyte and determined to watch them again. He went to the doctor two weeks ago and they could feel the nodes in his neck and thought that they had increased in size. We all began to get worried and pushed the doctors to re-scan the following week. We received the results of the scan last week and several nodes have cleared up, and the rest are showing signs of shrinking and responding to the medicine!!!! With this result, the doctors are pretty sure it is just the virus again and it is reponding to the medicine. Andy will be on the medicine for a year and hopefully by then his body will be able to fight off the virus. The present report is there is no relapse of cancer! The Lord has continued to bless us through this trial.

Yay! That is so exciting. So Steph....several years ago your family came up to GA for Thanksgiving with us and you made a cranberry sauce. I always remember it and have wanted to make it since....could I get the recipe from you if you still have it? My email is t.j.mckay@hotmail.com:) Just let me know that would be awesome!
I'm so glad! I feel so sad that there is this constant stress in your lives, but it has all turned out so well... Maybe the Lord's way of helping you see His hand? Love you guys!
